Deborah grew up in Stranraer in Dumfries and Galloway, she was a Young Carer growing up and did not get a lot of opportunities. After leaving school she went to Ayr college to study acting and performance and then for her final year she studied Drama at the University of Sunderland where she Graduated in 2014 with a BA Honours Degree in Drama.
In 2017 Deborah wrote and performed a play “Small Town Woman” about growing up as a Young Carer in Rural Scotland.
Deborah started with PCS as an original member. Before PCS was established she was the assistant youth theatre Leader for Ryan Youth theatre then stepped up as Youth theatre leader a Year later. Not only did Deborah join PCS as a founding member but she also took a seat on our board as a cohort board member.
In 2021 Deborah stepped into the role as Chair Person of the Board.
