JARAD
ROWAN
Jarad is a Scottish Theatre-Maker and Performer, born and raised in Stranraer. His passion for drama and performance has grown with him from a very young age. He believes that theatre is the safest place in the world to ask difficult questions.
Jarad is currently studying HND Acting and Performance at Ayrshire College and graduates in June 2019. In September 2018 Jarad formed Ellipsis Theatre, a theatre company based in South Ayrshire, writing and directing their first show “IMAGE” concerning the objectification of women in today’s society titled “IMAGE” (Cameron’s Bar, Ayr, Dec 2018). Jarad also contributed in devising a no-dialogue movement based show titled “Crumble” that was performed in the Ayr County Town Building’s for Alzheimer’s UK Representatives among other community bodies.
In November 2018 Jarad worked with Creative Learning Coordinator of The Gaiety Theatre, Robbie Gordon, as an assistant director on the show ‘YoungBlood’ performed by Gaiety Young Company Members in collaboration with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Young Company. “YoungBlood” was performed at Youth Theatre Arts Scotland’s Chrysalis Festival, Traverse Theatre Edinburgh.
Jarad is a self-taught guitarist and singer, and is passionate about musical performance.
